Combining data from multiple Excel files into one file is one of the most common data cleaning tasks. In this blog, I test whether Claude in Excel can actually help with that using Power Query. We start with a simple case where all files have the same structure, then slowly increase the complexity by changing column names and adding junk rows on top. At each step, I ask Claude to help, test the result, and explain where it works, where it breaks, and what you should watch out for. If you are interested in data analysis using AI, data cleaning with Claude, using Claude with Excel, Claude with Power Query, or combining multiple Excel files automatically, this video will be useful.
